Abstract
Recently, new rule CSR(Common Structure Rule) was enforced to oil tankers. The design corresponding to CSR is used on an actual site. However, the design based on the experience has been. Therefore, then, it aims at the achievement of the optimum design in a central section of the oil tanker by using the optimization software connected to PrimeShip-HULL effectively. It is used that the restriction condition judgment of PrimeShip-HULL is the one with Excel file. Software Smartoptimization of this laboratory development is used, and optimized. The target function is assumed two one with a different minimum weight and minimum cost, and calculated by a method near an actual calculation. The cost becomes important information to change the design idea in the grasp of a present design proposal and the future because it can show separately by cost.
