Abstract
This paper points out that the importance of emotion would increase with expanding globalization and with rapid and frequent changes in global optimization, While the 20^<th> century could be described as a closed word, the 21^<st> century is now becoming more and more an open world where rationalities do not hold anymore so that we have to find new ways to optimize globally. Emotion may be regarded as our wisdom of how we can cope with the widely and extensively changing situations. Thus, emotion is expected to play an important role for spatial and temporal global optimization.
