Abstract

We often find a human interface design interesting when it exhibits emergent features in itself. It is because an emergent feature is often the result of a good interface design as a whole. We’d like to discuss how “Human Interface Design” and “Emergent System” share common views and approaches i.e. time and space, and propose a method to shape “Human Interface Design” by leveraging the engineering approach, which was found through the intensive study of “Emergent System” from the last century. Finally we demonstrate a unique human interface design that follows the design principal we proposed in this paper.
