Abstract

Purpose of this study is to enable 4D CT reconstruction of objects in periodic motion by using a high-speed CT system. 4D CT reconstruction is a promising technique for dynamic internal inspection of products. In general, 4D CT reconstruction means that a volume is generated at each time frame from projection images scanned while an object is in motion. Proposed method in this study is phase sorting reconstruction using motion period of object. Proposed method was validated using simulated and real data. In addition, this study explored and validated several methods for sorting projections by motion phase.
