Abstract

The global epidemic of COVID-19 has made balancing working at home and childcare become a difficult challenge. This paper reports on a prototyping process for a robot that can support working-at-home and childcare by ensuring the safety of children in childcare, by taking care of some of the important childcare needs on the parents/childcare worker’s behalf, and by taking on COVID-19-specific tasks such as disinfection and sanitization.
