Abstract
Vibration of steps in escalators and auto-roads that use a conveyer chain has increased as a result of their compact size and high speed. This vibration is caused by geometric motion when the chain is rolled onto the sprocket in a polygonal shape. Oscillation has increased as a result of an increase in speed and miniaturization of the sprocket (fewer sprocket teeth). This report describes a vibration-suppressing guide rail that can easily eliminate this vibration. The vibration-suppressing effect of this guide rail has been verified.
