Abstract
An overview of the "voice tweet system" and its possible use cases are described. The "voice tweet system" is developed to support voice communication among workers of what we call "action-oriented intellectual services". In the "action-oriented intellectual services", workers have to move around the work fields, perform both of physical tasks and information processing tasks, in the same time. The conventional IT (Information Technology) systems and devices however, are fundamentally designed for desk workers, so there are strong mismatch between "action-oriented intellectual services" and conventional technologies. Therefore we have developed the "voice tweet system" to overcome this serious gap. This system can be utilized in multiple fields including machine maintenance tasks, medical tasks, and health care tasks. This work is an implementation based on the original research project done as a joint research project between Toshiba corporation, Shimizu corporation and Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology as a national project supported by JST/RISTEX from October, 2010 to September, 2013.
