Abstract
Resolvers are inexpensive and robust, and are often used as sensors to measure the rotation angle of a motor. It is known that the resolver includes a periodic angular error in the detected angle, which makes the control performance lower. When a resolver is used as an angle sensor of a traction machine, the torque ripple which deteriorates ride quality occurs. Thus, the angular error need to be estimated and compensated. Particularly, since the characteristic of mechanical vibration changes depending on the car position in the elevator, the angular error and the elevator may resonate. The resonance makes estimation accuracy worse. Therefore, in this paper, we show the angular error estimation method and the resonance determination method by frequency analysis of traction machine current. As a result, it is possible to estimate and compensate the angular error with high accuracy.
