Abstract
This paper describes the development of a solution pump for small ammonia absorption refrigerators. Ammonia absorption refrigerators have a very long history, but were barely surviving as special-use large-scale units until a few years ago. The interest in them revived recently along with the overall movement towards the global environmental conservation. Demand for small, diversely-located general-purpose refrigerators will increase soon. We have developed a small, diaphragm-type solution pump that is the core of this technology.
