Abstract
When operator in process plant was exposed to noise, the working efficiency is greatly affected by not only noise level but also acoustic characteristics. This paper describes; (i) the result of analysis regarding noise and working efficiency in consideration of cognition engineering, (ii) the result of experiment regarding broadband noise and narrowband noise, (iii) the example of noise countermeasure for work area affected by narrowband noise from rotating machinery, to investigate and propose the optimum noise countermeasures and the evaluation methods for process plant considering acoustic characteristics.
