Abstract
To utilize solar energy, the meteorological standard data, such as hourly global and direct insolation etc. are required. In order to satisfy this requirement, a lot of meteorological data must be provided by the Meteorological Agency. One of two kinds of the direct insolation is a normal direct insolation, and the other is a horizontal direct insolation. Using these two direct insolations, incident energy on a tilt surface with arbitrary tilt angle θ was calculated. Locations for the calculation are as follows: Sapporo, Akita, Miyako, Matsumoto, Wajima, Shionomisaki, Yonago, Shimizu, Fukuoka, Kagoshima and Naha. Consequently, it was made clear that the calculation result by standard data (METPV-2) is 13% greater than that of measured insolation data.
