Abstract
Microorganismes are sterilized by underwater shock waves in the imploding detonation apparatus. Imploding detonation is derived by combustion of a propane-oxygen mixture with this apparatus. We succeeded in the sterilization of animal plankton daphnias by four times treatment of the underwater shock waves that maximum pressure was about 100 MPa. We investigated sterilization possibility of the bacillus for coliform group with this apparatus. We found that the case of two times of treatments could sterilized about two digits compared with initial counts and the case of six times of treatments could sterilized completely.
