Abstract
Growing of environmental concerns demands higher thermal efficiency for domestic gas cooking appliances. In this study, novel cooking appliance was proposed, and the prototype appliance was assembled. In addition, as the first stage, operating characteristics on an open mode and closed mode was investigated. As the result, it was found that stable combustion was achieved at a wide operational range of a heating power without any combustion oscillation. The thermal efficiencies were obtained for both operating modes.
