Abstract

In air-conditioning field, highly efficient and energy saving system has become essential increasingly in terms of global environmental problem and energy problem. In this study, we focus on a liquid desiccant air-conditioning system which is expected as highly efficient and energy saving system compared to the conventional system with a vapor compression heat pump. We do numerical simulation about this system for half a year based on the hourly meteorological data in Tokyo. In this numerical simulation, we calculate COP and primary energy consumption and so on of this system. As a result, the primary energy consumption of this system in the mid-season such as May and July is higher than that in summer such as July and October. And we can gain the guideline of the system design.
