Abstract
To clarify and modify the flow instabilities of the steam control valve in the power plant, we have researched by CFD approach. But there are many troubles in the water system like pressure pulsation caused by pump and valve. For precise researches for them, we constructed CFD "MATIS-I" code for the incompressible fluid. This code is based on pseido-compressible flow method. This method can apply the computational scheme for compressible fluid. After some benchmark tests, we applied the code to the high Reynolds number flow around orifice to investigate the erosion effect for wall wearing. As a result, we found that the wall shear force by the fluid is less than 100Pa, and is very small as compared to the shear stress of the carbon steel.
