Abstract

In the small-scale supersonic flight experiment vehicle, liquid supplying system for Bioethanol and LOX by pressurant gas has been studied. In the liquid tank, sloshing occurs due to acceleration during flight. Sloshing causes problems such as adverse effects on aircraft attitude control and failure of the propulsion system caused by gas entrainment. Therefore, in this paper, the purpose of the research is creating sloshing prediction technology by experiments and numerical analyses. Consequently, the analysis technology that is able to predict the behavior of the liquid surface is obtained. In addition, CFD analysis was carried out in consideration of the flight acceleration of small-scale supersonic flight experiment vehicle using this analysis technique.
