Abstract
This paper deals with numerical simulation of scavenging process in a stratified charge two-stroke engine with sub-combustion chamber. In this simulation, in-cylinder gas flow, distribution of fresh gas or fuel and short-circuit loss of fuel during the scavenging or charging process were computed and investigated. As a result, it was become clean that hydrocarbon from exhaust port is decreased sufficiently by changing the combination of air-fuel ratio of main and sub scavenging port.
