Abstract
This paper deals with analysis of cutting mechanism of tapered end mill using 3D-CAD. At first, calculating methods of modeling and cutting area are shown. Secondly, three types of loop path machining at inside corner are proposed. Then cutting areas are calculated at inside corner for the three types and the results are considered. And also, it is compared the calculated results with the machining accuracy obtained by cutting tests.
