Abstract
Recently, MQL (Minimum Quantity Lubrication) machining is being recognized as an earth-conscious machining method or 'Eco-Machining technology'. In this report, the practical effect of MQL method is mainly mentioned. To investigate the effect of MQL method, quality engineering has been introduced. Quality engineering is the method that can reveal the extent of stability or variety in the practical event. In the drilling test, FC250 and S50C have been machined. Machining condition has been arranged by or L18 orthogonal block. So the experimental condition is eighteen. The kinds of work-materials, air pressure to mist the MQL oil, feed rate, spindle speed, depth of guide hole have been selected as the controllable factor. The number of drilled hole is 100. Loaded torque of the main shaft, toolwear, and surface roughness had been measured in the machining at the holes' number of 10, 50, and 100. These measured results have been applied to 'Taguchi-method'.
