Abstract
Braces on Soundboard of acoustic guitar have an influence on sound quality. Usually, the bracing location depends on guitarmaker skill and feeling. This paper describe a relationship between the bracing pattern, board thickness and vibrational characteristics of a sound board, analytically. The following results were obtained : (1) Amplitude level is not always proportional to soundboard thickness. (2) Reducing the thickness of soundboard and increasing the number of braces are good for enlargement of antinode area.
