Abstract
We have developed a low power consumption wireless sensor node for monitoring health condition of animals, especially of chickens. This sensor node will be utilized for the early detection of avian influenza and the prevention of influenza pandemic. To achieve ultra low power consumption, this sensor node is to activate a micro computer unit in normal mode when a chicken is active. It is necessary for the output voltage of a piezoelectric switch by moving a chicken to exceed the threshold voltage. We evaluated the need for acceleration in excess of the output at low-frequency vibrations.
