Abstract
Translucent objects pose a difficult for traditional 3D scanning techniques. Unlike opaque object, translucent objects exhibit subsurface scattering in which a significant portion of incident lights scatter inside object and the lights emit into the environment at a different location from the incident location. We present a new 3D scanning technique for translucent objects.
