Abstract
This study is concerned about the pool boiling heat transfer characteristic of self wetting liquid. Two different concentrations of butanol 0.5wt% 2.0wt% dissolve in water were prepared and used 0.3mm line of platinum at heating test section. The test results show that the addition of butanol increases boiling heat transfer coefficients compared with water at same heat flux. Critical heat flux of the aqueous solution is enhanced as compared to that of pure water it show up to 366% increase at the butanol concentration of 2.0wt%.
