Abstract
In this study, the behavior of low temperature oxidation(LTO) reaction when lower alkanes were mixed with n-heptane was investigated by chemical kinetic analysis to understand the effects and reaction mechanism of coexisting fuels on dual fuel HCCI combustion. As a result, it was found that the fuel with high reactivity with OH radicals consumes OH radicals from LTO reactions of n-heptane to inhibit them, meanwhile, if the fuel has LTO mechanisms at any activity, the LTO is activated to cover the decreased LTO of n-heptane.
