Abstract
The new internal magnetic abrasive finishing process combined with electrolysis was proposed. Notably, the electrolysis process dissolves the pipe internal surface, creating aluminum oxide film during the process, which is finally removed using magnetic abrasive finishing. A new combination machining tool was developed for this purpose and the method of magnetic abrasive finishing combined with electrolysis was studied. As a result, the method has shown finishing possibility with improvement on high finishing quality and effectiveness. The details of the research were reported regarding finishing mechanism and characteristics.
