Abstract
We pursue the development of new grinding wheel and manufacturing technology grinding wheels using twin nozzle PELID. Using the PELID technology, I tried compounding of abrasive grains of different grain-size. When I give a polymer coating on abrasive grains, that gets an electrical property. When this is discharged in twin nozzle PELID, two kinds of different abrasive grains was attracted each other by electrostatic force, and I succeeded to make them compound. Basically, PELID technology discharges the droplet in the air. But by this report, I make abrasive grains compound efficiently by discharging the droplet in the water. The performance of the new grinding wheel can be expected by manufacturing a grinding wheel in compound abrasive grains.
