Abstract
Essential Service Water System is the one of the most important safety support systems of China new generation Pressure Water Reactor (PWR) Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) which provides heat sink for nuclear island important devices especially that is safety related such as pumps and heat exchangers, during normal and emergency operating modes. The system functions and components must be verified completely while commissioning phase, therefore functional analysis and commissioning items design are included in this article. Firstly find out acceptance criteria of safety related and non-safety related commissioning items according to functional analysis and safety analysis. Secondly, the commissioning items would be optimized and take part in whole plant commissioning phase. Then sufficient operating and commissioning experience feedback of similar PWR NPPs would be considered in order to improve the implementation methodologies. Finally, this article presents the whole commissioning program for Essential Service Water System of new generation PWR NPP.
