Abstract
This paper proposes a Fuzzy-logic-based Pressure Setpoint Adjustment (FPSA) system for the pressure control of a pressurized water reactor pressurizer. A simulation platform for the pressurizer has been developed in MATLAB/Simulink with implementation of a nonequilibrium three-region pressurizer model, the pressure and water level control systems and the FPSA system. Using this platform, the typical step and ramp transients of the AP1000 pressurizer have been simulated with and without the FPSA system implemented. Dynamic responses of the pressurizer pressure and its setpoint with the FPSA system have been compared with those without the FPSA system to evaluate the performance of the proposed FPSA method.
