Abstract
Experiments were carried out to study the NOx reduction efficiency of the ammonia injection technology, the experimental data on a laboratory scale drop tube furnace shows that the highest NOx reduction efficiency about 82.1% was achieved. A chemical kinetics simulation was also conducted to investigate the effects of the parameters on the NOx reduction efficiency. The comparison of experimental and numerical shows that the mixing between the ammonia and the flue gas has a great effect on the NOx reduction.
