ICOPE-15-C081 Statistics analysis and alarm threshold setting for monitoring data of hydropower unit

Abstract

This paper performs random sampling on monitoring data of hydropower unit repeatedly according to central-limit theorem. After distribution test, it turns out that the average sequence obeys the normal distribution provided the sample capacity is large enough. Based on normal distribution theory, the sample average value is proposed to be the characteristic variable for monitoring and alarm. Alarm threshold values for hydropower unit are set based on the 3σ criterion.
