Printers and copiers have to feed papers one by one by using rubber rollers. How to design paper feed mechanism is a serious problem in developing these machines. The present article gives some simple ideas to designers concerning how to estimate a paper feed velocity when a friction between the rollers and paper is given, even though the rubber roller stiffness is not taken into account.
