Abstract
Li_3N synthesis on Li deposition layer was conducted without H_2O and O_2 by in-situ lithium deposition in high vacuum chamber of 10^<-6> Pa and ion implantation techniques and thermo-chemical stability of the Li_3N/Li/Cu tri-layered target under laser heating and air exposure were characterized by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy.Following conclusions were derived;(l) Li_3N/Li/Cu tri-layered target with very low oxide and carbon contamination was synthesized by in-situ lithium deposition and ion implantation techniques without H_2O and O_2 additions.(2) Build-up of evaporating temperature of Li layer on Li/Cu layer target about 137K was observed by Li_3N formation on the surface of Li layer(3) After air exposure in the early stages, remarkable oxidation and carbon contamination were observed on the surfaces of Li/Cu and Li_3N/Li/Cu,respectively.These contaminated elements on the surface of Li_3N/Li/Cu were not removed by Ar heavy spattering.
