Design of winding parameter for preventing all winding defects

Abstract

Winding defects such as “Telescoping”, “Axial wrinkle”, and “Core mark” reduce the production yield of roll to roll manufacturing process. This paper describes the mechanisms of typical winding defects, and the design method of winding tension for preventing winding defects on a highly functional film at production line.
