Abstract
In the analysis of the contact problem where only the FEM is used, a complicated procedure is required in the boundary area and also it takes great labor. On the other hand, RBSM is model where the rigid-bodies is jointed to each other by springs, the analytical technique for the limit analysis and useful when the slip between two neighboring elements is necessary to expressed. Then RBSM is suitable as one of the analytical method to the discontinuum where contact problems are contained. Therefore, this method proposed here is the technique to use the merits of the FEM which is profitable of the analysis of the continumm and the RBSM which has easy treatment of discontinumm. In this paper, the effectiveness of this method is examined by applying the combined models to the wire drawing.
