In order to evaluate the integrity of oil storage tank during large earthquake, fatigue test was conducted on corner weld for SPV490 and SS400 steels. It was found that the effect of pre-crack on the fatigue strength was relatively small and the strain concentration of SS400 steel was relatively smaller than SPV490 steel due to low coefficient of work hardening.
