Abstract
This paper presents FEM numerical solutions of an elasto-hydrodynamically lubricated (EHL) contact of an undulated seal-like elastomer surface onto a smooth rigid surface. The result reveals that the undulation of the elastomer surface which is completely flattened under a stationary condition forms again when it is situated under EHL conditions with an increase in sliding speed.
