Abstract
Steady cavitation in centrifugal impellers was analyzed by using a singularity method based on closed cavity model. Two kinds of the solution were obtained for impellers with even number of blades. One corresponds to equal length cavitation. The other corresponds to alternate blade cavitation. It was found that impeller geometry influences on alternate blade cavitation development pattern and three kinds of alternate blade cavitation development patterns exist.
