Abstract
Traction drive is one of power transmission devices. It can be used in high-speed and non-stage transmission. And more it can reduce some faults which are vibration, noise and so on. However, power loss called spin, which is due to the non-stage transmission, is inevitable. In this paper, three kinds of test pieces, which are steel, silicon nitride, Zrconia, were used in order to explain the effect to the traction characteristics. Experiment was done in the equal contact pressure and the normal force with two kinds of the traction oils. And in order to explain of spin, the driver side test pieces have slope, called spin angle, to the contact.
