Abstract
To shorten the term of the pump development has been required. In order to grasp the possibility of CFD, the internal flow in a high specific speed mixed-flow pump was analyzed by experiments and by CFD in the wide range of capacity. The velocity distributions and total pressure distributions at design point were reasonably predicted. But the prediction of the adverse flow at impeller inlet was difficult at the partial flow (Q/Q_<opt>=0.53). That was the reason why the head rise coefficient and the shaft power coefficient were overestimated.
