110 High Performance System of Gas Engine-Gas / Steam Turbine Combined Cycle Plant

Abstract

When the gas engine is integrated with gas turbine, ETCS (the engine-turbo compound system) is composed. This paper shows the effect of engine exhaust temperature on the cycle performance. Engine exhaust of 900℃ increases the system power generation efficiency from 46% LHV (conventional combined cycle) to 50% LHV (ETCS) at TIT of 1150℃, and also 54 to 57% LHV at 1350℃.
