The Livengood-Wu integral has been widely applied as the simplest and most practical model to predict knocking. For high-accuracy knocking prediction using the Livengood-Wu integral, ignition delay time equations for a premium-gasoline surrogate fuel were developed, which can reproduce the temperature-, pressure-, and equivalence ratio-dependences of ignition delay time and H2O2 loop induction time produced using a detailed reaction mechanism. In the present study, in-cylinder autoignition prediction using the Livengood-Wu integral along with the ignition delay time equations has been investigated, and error factors in the Livengood-Wu integral have been elucidated. Errors are accumulated during the H2O2 loop induction part of ignition process. An idea of error correction has been proposed.
