Abstract

In this research, we are developing a micro-generator as a substitute for the sensor power supply to realize the IoT society. We focus on wind power as the power source of the generator, and select the phenomenon that the cylinder causes self-excited vibration due to the presence of a plate on the back of the cylinder. We conducted analysis and experiments to establish design guidelines for application to generators. Experimental results showed that the Reynolds number around the cylinder and the distance between the cylinder and the prism affected the vibration.
