The problem of turbo pump that occurs when increasing the rotation speed is the phenomenon of cavitation. Previous studies have stated that there is a trade-off between suction performance and suppression of backflow generated at the inlet of the inducer. The main purpose of this research is to propose a method of optimizing the design parameters of the inducer that achieves both improvement of suction performance and suppression of cavitation surge while maintaining high pump efficiency. An optimization framework based on the response surface has been established to carry out the optimization design.
