Preparation and control of A/O/W emulsion behavior by using magnetic field

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to prepare A/O/W (Air-in-Oil-in-Water) emulsion and control its behavior. The water of A/O/W emulsion contains oil droplets. The oil droplets contain air bubbles. A/O/W emulsion is prepared by using SPG membranes. A/O/W emulsion is driven by magnetic force. By adding a magnetic fluid, oil droplets of A/O/W emulsion are given magnetism. The A/O/W emulsion is placed in magnetic field of magnet. As a result, oil droplets of A/O/W emulsion move in the direction of the magnet.
