Abstract
History of mass loss of C/C and SiC due to oxidation is measured on real time by thermo-gravimetry. Heat cycles includes 3 stages of heat-up, holding and cooling. The holding temperature is set to be 750℃ for C/C composites and 1300℃ for SiC. The results are graphically presented for mass loss versus temperature or time.
