Abstract
In extrusion, knowledge and experience are needed in order to design processes and tools, therefore it is important to construct database for extrusion condition. In this study, simulation is absorbed into extrusion process design system. CAD and simulation, which share data, are built a part of system, and it aims at the decrease of cost and time which design and manufacture an extrusion tool. This time, the port hole die which manufactures a hollow product is mentioned as an example, hole form and mandrel form are analyzed the influence which they have on a product and extrusion load. It became clear that the flow condition in a die is changed and affected load by changing mandrel form.
