Abstract
The paper deals with paper motion in friction feed mechanism and makes the following points clear : (1) The frictional coefficient of rubber material depends normal load and the slip velocity of roller. (2) A big difference is in a paper drive mechanism from the derection of tension force. Paper velocity in the forward tension force is larger them in the backward tension force. (3) If the normal load discourses, paper drive becomes unstable and finaly it in unable to drive papers. It is because the tension force becomes large than the paper. The stable domain of paper drive becomes narrow if tension force is large. The vibration of normal load is one of the factors which make the stable domain narrow.
