Abstract
Measurements were made of mean velocity profiles in the wake flow of circular cylinders, inclined from 0 to 40 degrees, at Reynolds number of 16000,at the near-wake of cylinders from the twice of cylinder diameter to 5 times using I configuration hot-wire probe. It was found from results obtained that yaw-variations of displacement and momentum thickness calculated by mean velocity profiles show the peak value at the yaw angle of 10 degrees, and Strouhal number decreases with yaw angle, but it is difficult to apply the simple law, so called "Cosine law" introduced by Atta. Furthermore, spanwise variations of fluctuation velocity correlation indicate batter correlation at yaw angle of 10 degrees than that at 0 degree.
