Abstract
The OSAKA KISHA SEIZO GOSHI-KAISHA was found by Mr. Masaru INOUE (1843-1910) in 1896. He was a chairman of Railway division, Ministry of Engineering in the Imperial Government of Japan. There were many famous Japanese persons supported this new rolling stock builder as founder, they were bureaucrats, former lord of Daimyo in the Edo period, capitalist and so on. After he studied mining and railway engineering at University of London, he returned to Japan and worked at Ministry of Engineering. The HIRAOKA WORKS was started its business at the Arsenal of Tokyo. Passenger and freight cars, railway structures and ordnance were supplied for many users. In 1901,HIRAOKA WORKS was merged into OSAKA KISHA SEIZO GOSHI-KAISHA, and it was renamed as KISHA SEIZO GOSHI-KAISHA. In this report 1) Outline and short history of the OSAKA KISHA SEIZO GOSHI-KAISHA, 2) Managerial trend of this new rolling stock builder and relation to the HIRAOKA WORKS, are explained.
