Abstract
After the Meiji Restoration, a watch came into wide use rapidly, and became "The Symbol of the Civilization and Enlightenment". At that time, One watch each was handcrafted by "Watch Craftsman". After that, a Machine-tool was developed, and mass production was done, and a watch came into wide use. A watch shows "the time" when it is with our life, and it is one of the machines which cannot lack. The ancient people made an exclusive Tool and Machine-Tool to spread a watch. In this study, I investigated a tool and the change of a Small-Machine-Tool to produce parts of a watch.
